News: HILTON CODE BREAKERS

timmillward9

We were absolutely thrilled with our event on Easter Saturday and what a great turnout – lots of prizes given away, happy faces enjoying the sunshine, lots of book sales and signings and lots of cookies eaten - what a great day!

The Code Breaker trail was based on The Adventures of Poppy and Lord Ted and readers know the crown jewels have been stolen. According to the TOP SECRET CODE BREAKERS INFORMATION the crown jewels had been hidden by the robbers in the safe at TLC Bakery! Local agents were tasked to help Lord Ted unlock the safe before the robbers returned to pick up their loot and grab a tasty treat at the same time.

The children had to follow the clues around Hilton to unlock the code which started at Hilton Village Hall and finished at TLC Bakery. If they broke the code they had to get it to Lord Ted to win a prize.

Everyone had the chance to meet Lord Ted and enjoy the sunshine with a cookie and milkshake.

A massive thank you to our hosts at 𝗧𝗟𝗖 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀 & 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝘖𝘧 𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘺 & 𝘏𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘰𝘯 and Inspired By Libby for the limited edition merchandise donated as prizes. Also BBC Radio Derby for their support.

I saw so many familiar faces from the schools I have been visiting, our KS2 competition winner Jessica and her family, Megan with her mum and aunt all the way from Tamworth and a family who were visiting their granddaughter in the village all the way from Manchester took part too. I think we had someone from all the local schools.

Thank you to everyone who took part and enjoying the day.
