On Monday 10th January, after I’d signed a few books for the children who had received their copy of The Adventures of Poppy and Lord Ted for Christmas, I donated nearly £1000 worth of books for the library at Stoneydelph Primary School in Tamworth.
I reached out to my local village in September last year, asking for donations and was inundated with great quality books to give to children’s primary school libraries. I’m still shocked at the lack of funds schools receive for such basics but overwhelmed by the generosity of others to help and support.
